Here are some images of my latest mix media piece that include stoneware and fabrics. The titles are "Spirit Keepers". The stoneware has been embossed with lace, stained, and glazed. Artist hand painted shibori cotton, African prints, burlap, commercial cottons, and copper mesh. The effigies are quilted and tied to the fringes. There are buttons, cowrie shells, and bead embellishments. I also used jute and cotton cording.
