More Wearables

Greetings All,
Here are some more of my latest wearables.  I love this sunny yellow Adinkra symbol tunic.  It's short and sweet I think.

I also created several garments out of my "Parking Lot Shibor" fabrics one being my old standby favorites "Handkerchief-hem" tunic and my new "Waterfall" vest.  All of these are made of cotton and I am loving them.

Wearable Update

Greetings All,
Here are some more of my latest creations made with "Kanga" cloth.  Kangas have for as long as is known been a traditional type of dress amongst women in the African Great Lakes region. Toward the eastern part of the region, phrases in Kiswahili are traditional, while in central areas phrases in both Kiswahili and Lingala are popular. Kangas are also often referred to as lesos.   Kanga - I, II, and III are below.

New Wearables

Greetings All,
I have been working on some wearables lately and thought that I would share my creations.  Below left and centered you can see a shibori dyed tunic that I created which I love the asymmetry of the pattern and I hope that you do too.  This was created with white cotton and Rit dye in a liquid navy.

My next tunic was created with Rit dye lemon yellow and over painted with Pebeo Setacolor fabric paint in Cherry (50) and Ultramarine Blue (12).  Finally is a poncho that I crocheted with Red Heart Yarn in Earth/Sky and a McCalls crochet pattern from year ago.
