ASWR update

Greetings All,

Sun May 21, 2017 1:30 pm at the Kalamazoo Valley Museum Dr. Carolyn Mazloomi, founder of the Women of Color Quilters Network and curator of the exhibit And Still We Rise: Race, Culture and Visual Conversations, will speak about African American history and its depiction in story quilts. She is recognized as an authority on African American quilts, has authored several books, and is a very sought-after exhibit curator. Her exhibit, which will be at the museum through June 4, 2017, opened at the National Underground Railroad Museum in Cincinnati, Ohio, in 2013. The exhibition will travel the United States through the end of this year.
