Elmhurst College presents

SAPPHIRE AND CRYSTALS: VISIONS
Art by African American Women

The women in the Sapphire and Crystals artist collective have produced their own exhibitions for more than two decades. Guest curator and artist Joyce Owens brings some of the members to Elmhurst College to share their ideas about their art practice and the resulting exceptional work, in mediums ranging from paintings on canvas and wood, to photography, mixed media and works in clay and cast paper.
