Greetings All, I have been busy doing all things not art until this week. I completed a small commission piece that I have been working (above) where I used all types of materials and had a great time exploring/learning. I embellished with beads, chain and all types of jewelry findings that where given to me by a new acquaintance/artist Sylvia Hughes. I also included some hand painted zinc washers. I used various types of fabrics as well, cotton, silks, and upholstery fabric. Some photo transfers are included. Some that were given to me by Michele Hardman and one I did myself of the patron. This piece hang on a copper rod and can be displayed from 4 different sides. I just love it.
Below are some postcards that I've created for an exhibit next month with the famed Sapphire & Crystals women art collective. I am honored and excited about this show because it includes all types of artists. So if you are in town next month come by the historic South Side Community Art Center at 3831 S.
