Landscape workshops.
I have been working on an outline for a landscape workshop and here are some of the image of pieces that can be completed in this workshop. Below is Landscape-I my stage one workshop.
Below right is the next image of Landscape-II that can created in my workshops and it's a bit more complicated. It is a flip-n-quilt piece and I love the easy of the wedges that allow you to add some highs and lows to this piece. More to come, so stay connected.

1st Friday June 5th
Greetings All,
Below is a piece that I created a while back and never showed it and got the inspiration to re-create it and mount it on plexi-glass. The piece is titled the Gate-I and it is a part of a series and when I decided to mount it it's orientation needed to be changed. Have you ever changed the orientation of a piece? I love the re-created version even more. This is hand painted fabric that was fused and whole cloth quilted, cut and satin stitched then assembled. The bottom photo is the new and improved piece. This piece will make it's debut on 1st Friday at the resident artist studio of Pat Keck at the Contemporary Art Center in Peoria, IL on the 3rd floor in the studio area, June 5th from 5 pm to 9 pm.

Greetings All,
Do you ever Google yourself to see what's out there? Well today I did and this is what I found.
Thank you Mancuso, Laura Wasilowski, and FAC for allowing me to be a part of this exhibit.

Pretty
Planet is an exhibit of art quilts inspired by the beauty of the earth.
Members of the Fiber Artists Coalition find inspiration in the
environment, the people, and the joy of living in a wonderful world.
Whether firmly planted in the soil or soaring through the sky, their art
absorbs and reflects this pretty planet. Left: "Big Sky" 8/15/2013 - 8/18/2013 Manchester, New Hampshire |
