13th Annual Cultural Connections African Marketplace & Bazaar

Greetings All,
I am refresh, restored and renewed. I have made it through my first outing of the year and had a great time. I received as a gift these awesome note cards (left) from Nii-oti Ankrah and just love them and they will be framed and placed throughout my home for me and others to enjoy.

Here we have the stupendous Stacey Brown & company with his wonderful water colors and mix-media art.

Next we have history maker Marva Jolly (right) who creates gorgeous works of art and also was my ceramic instructor many years ago.

The wearable were on parade (below) and had to be tried on, so a mini fashion show happened and I would like to thank Linda M Lewis who wore my Somewhere Over the Rainbow coat and Alice Scott in my Juicy Fruit jacket. Thank you ladies. I also would like to thank Robin Napier who wore her Hot-Fudge mud cloth jacket that she purchased from me years ago. Thank you Robin for the advertising.

Sylvia Cook artist/decorator is wearing her commission indigo/blue mud cloth jacket. Sylvia made her own button for this creation and has promise to make more. Sylvia is also pictured with her hand painted shirts.

These are just some of my favorite people, upper right corner is Elliott Hubbard and James Napier, below left is the fabulous Frank Frazier, next to him is Woodrow Nash, and last but not lease is Carolyn Elaine.

This is the awesome Najee Dorsey (left)who creates collage/mix-media works and he commissioned me to make him a mud cloth vest and there he styling it for this photo shoot. Thank you Najee and check out his work @ http://www.artbynajee.com/.

Above bottom left in the middle is an awesome young artist by the name of Selena Watkins and I just love her creativity/spirit, so please check out her blog @ http://www.highost-expression.blogspot.com/ . The colorful stilt house is by artist Malika Jackson who is pictured above top center who was Selen's former art teacher.
