The Journey of an African American Quilt Artist

Greetings All,
Below is a photo collage of fabrics that I created while hanging out with the Sew What Art Quilter suburan chapter. We used soy wax and kitchen tools. I can't wait to try it again.

Today us the closing of P.I.E.C.E.S at the Ferguson Gallery at Concordia University. It has been a good venue and I'm hungry for more. I have added a collage (above) of Voices, Visions, Viewpoints and Victories of African American Artists opening and today's video is of quilt artist Aisha Lumumba. Enjoy;-)

(below right) will be in a write up about
"Conversation in Stitch" in Fiberarts magazine spring issue. C.I.S. is an exhibit of the Fiber Artists Coalition at the Anderson Art Center in Kenosha, WI until March 20,2011.
