6th Annual Lake Meadows Art Fair.

Greetings All,

I have been busy and not taken the time to post. I've been looking for work and shipping. That's right "Shipping". This is not my new job, but a labor of love. I had submitted my work to several exhibits and I forget shipping side of things. I have also been out vending this past weekend at the 6th Annual Lake Meadows Art Fair (below). The art, food, music, and weather was just great. Can't wait until the next one.

Back to the shipping side of things. First item shipped, Where Two Or More (below) is a part of an exhibit that's call "13 Ways To View A Blackbirds" and you guest it all the piece have blackbirds in them. The exhibit will be at Art Circle of Arts, Charlevoix, Michigan, July - Sept 18, 2010. Clairan Ferrono of Fiber Art Coalition brought this call to the group.

Collaboration-I (below left), Harvest Praise (below center), and Mother Fire (below right) are all a part of an exhibit that's called "Some Like It Hot". You can see that all of these pieces have red and orange as their dominate color. So this is going to be a very vibrant exhibit and I can't wait to see it up. The exhibit will be at Simply Chicago Art, Evanston, IL Sept 4 - Sept 26, 2010. I dropped them off yesterday.

"Where Dancer Go" (below left) and "Save Darfur" (below right) are the last two piece that I need to ship. It's like I'm sending my children off to school. Some will be gone a year or more and I'm always glad when the come home. It's not the same feeling when I sell them, that's more like they have moved on and sometime I get to visit. The exhibit that they will be a part of is called "Conversation In Stitches" that will be at the Anderson Arts Center, Kenosha, WI, Jan 23 - March 20, 2011. It's a good thing to have inventory.
